Once I start taking hypothyroid medication, will my premature gray hairs eventually go away?

I just found out I have a low thyroid level. I have also noticed the start of some premature gray hairs. I have read that the two might be correlated. My Doctor is putting me on medication to balance out my thyroid. Once I start taking the medication to balance out my thyroid, is there any chance my gray hairs might start going away?
