What is a soul? What is it for? Why does it need to be saved?

You will find different definitions of the word soul in most all cultures and religions. According to the Bible your soul is your personality, your thoughts and feelings, yes it is you. When the people were counted they counted so and so many souls, yes people. And just as people could die the Bible tells us souls can die.
