Can a fat high school guy get a cute girl?

Now i am fat but i am not hideous or any thing have liked this girl for a while and am trying to decide if i should ask her out i don't know if i am to fat or ugly to ask her out. i think i should tell u all the info i am a pretty popular guy i would say not "The guy all the other guys want to be" but " The guy everyone wants to talk to/ be friends with. The girl i like is very pretty she is not (on the scale of high school hierarchy) one of the school "hotties" she is kinda one of the less thought of people Can i ask her out.
