It's likely he'll sympathize, but he's also reasonably likely to suggest something with fewer risks of dependency. If you're pushy about specifically getting a benzo, things may not turn out well. If you're willing to suggest benzo's but accept a trial of another alternative, you're less likely to be disappointed.
