What is architectural engineering?

I'm thinking about majoring in architectural engineering. I would appreciate info on exactly what type of job it is, I would like to know what the job involves? Is there a demand for architectural engineers? What are the average wages that could be expected? Would an architectural engineer have to travel much to obtain jobs?
